Pre-Recruitment Exercise: We are considering expanding our professional engineering staff and, in this pre-recruitment exercise, invite expressions of interest from suitable qualified candidates with strong skills and experience in satellite frequency coordination and ITU radio regulation.

Radio-Regulatory and Satellite Frequency Coordination Engineer

We are considering expanding our professional engineering staff and invite expressions of interest from suitably qualified candidates.

We are a small, specialised, UK-based firm of consulting engineers with a focus on satellite and radio communications engineering. The bulk of our work is in the areas of ITU radio regulatory support and satellite network frequency coordination. We are recognised as international experts in the field and have a wide client-base of satellite operators and national government agencies through the World. We also offer software products and training in areas related to our consulting activities.

Because of a significant increase in our client base and workload during 2009, and an anticipated further increase in 2010, we are carrying out a pre-recruitment exercise to identify suitably qualified candidates who may be interested in applying for a post once the formal recruitment process is started.

Expressions of interest, which will be treated in strictest confidence, are invited from suitably qualified candidates. Ideally candidates will offer the following:

  • Degree, ideally at Masters level, in a relevant subject (satellite engineering, communications engineering, physics, mathematics)
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in satellite frequency coordination and ITU radio-regulatory work
  • Good negotiating skills and experience of working independently, under pressure, in a frequency coordination environment
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge relevant to the post

Although the ideal candidate will have a strong background and experience in satellite coordination and regulation, we are also ready to consider otherwise strong candidates, and recent graduates, who do not have this level of experience.

RPC Telecom’s offices are in Hadleigh, Suffolk, UK and any candidate eventually appointed as a result of this exercise must have full legal right of employment in the UK and be ready to relocate to work in the RPC Telecom offices in Suffolk. A flexible relocation period will be available, during which time off-site working will be permitted either full or part-time.

Salary will reflect qualifications and experience. There will be an element of profit-share or bonus built into any remuneration package.

Expressions of interest based on the above requirements are invited, and should be submitted in the form of a detailed CV and a personal statement indicating interest in and suitability for the post.

For expressions of interest or requests for further information please contact us.
